The case of seafarer Niu, Jian Xin from the ship Great
Praise on the dates 01/29, 01/30, and 01/31:
Dear brothers Thomas and YingDu,
Praise the Lord! Seafarer Niu is on the way to airport now and his
flight departing to Hong Kong should be leaving around six this evening. There
are two officers from the Port of Houston accompanying him and his family
(younger brother) is waiting for him in ShenZhen, China.
Blessings,
George

Dear brothers Thomas and Ying-Du,
Have talked with the clinic that arranged the psychiatric evaluation
this morning and given them a report of yesterday's interactions with seafarer
Niu JianXIn. Mr. Niu was cleared by the psychiatrist that he can travel early
in the afternoon. He was given a calling card so he can call his company and
family. His concern about possible foul play during his flight back to China
was addressed to the authority. The officer at nine this evening and Mr. Niu
have been communicating through translation apps on their smart phones. The
same officer has indicated that Mr. Niu has been telling him that his and his
family's safety can be compromised once he is back in China.
As of now, the arrangement is two officers are going to fly with Mr. Niu
to Qatar tomorrow around six in the evening. He is continuing on to China. The
two officers will accompany him during the eight-hour transit in Qatar and then
escort him to the departing flight to China.
Will continue to monitor the situation of Mr. Niu until his safe return
to China.

With YingDau Lu at Holiday Inn. Translated for the seafarer
Niu JianXin and police. Made some calls on behalf of the seafarer to
shipping agent/company in Hong Kong and China. Gifted him a bible, DVD, and
calendar. Spread the gospel and prayed. Seemed to be calmed down and his
nervousness was eased by talking to company reps and friends back home.
Regards,
George Chan
