Dear seafarer's friends, 02/22/09 - 02/28/09

ships visited this week
2 ships on Monday:
UNIQUE SUNSHINE, and RONALD N - All Indian; Indian, and Filipino.
Three Christians on the first ship, Chief Cook, General Steward, and Bosun. We prayed with two Christians and two Hindus. (See picture). Two Indian
Christians on the second ship.
Steven Chao from WHCC came and helped this ministry.
2 ships on Tuesday:
STENA FR8 1 - All Indian. Responsive. We were on this ship last Oct. Four
Christians on board., Chief Cook, GS, Bosun, and an AB. (the pictures showed
you the chief cook and the general steward).
NORDANA SANDRA - All Chinese. It's the first time this ship has been here.
The Captain is a Christian. Please pray for his only daughter's health. The Chief
Engineer is a seeker. We prayed with him and the Captain. The Chief Cook was
a seeker, but became a believer after I shared God's Word with him.
Steven Chao from WHCC came again and a brother from FBCC came today
and helped the ministry. (see picture)
3 ships on Wednesday:
SEA SAPPHIRE, and GOLDEN TAKA - All Indian; Myanmar, Korean, and
two Filipino. Five Christians on the first ship, all Catholics including the Captain.
We prayed together for their families and the ship. They all received Scriptures
and Jesus DVDs. Pastor Malone and I met on this ship. We were on the second
ship a year before last May. Two Myanmar Christians on board.
FORMOSA TEN - All Chinese. We were on this ship last March. I prayed with
the Captain. He is a seeker. The seed was already planted.
2 ships on Thursday:
MOONLIGHT VENTURE, and EAGLE CARINA - All Chinese; Chinese,
Filipino, Indian, and Malaysian. The first ship was about to sail before I got there. . I shared the Gospel with them through leading them to pray if they agreed to pray
with me. One Malaysian Chinese Chief Officer on the second ship is a Christian.
He said he is a born again Christian. He gave me his testimony, and we prayed
together. We need to pray for his family.
1 ship on Friday:
MONIUSZKO - Chinese and Polish. We visited this ship last May. It was a
short visit this time. We prayed with one ordinary seaman and gave him two sets
of Scriptures and Gospel materials and blessed the ship.
Chuck and Joan Dewing from Tampa, Florida, and my wife Nancy came and
helped the ministry today. We went to the boat tour before visiting the ship. And
we went to visit Pastor Malone and Mark after visiting the ship. (see picture). We
all attended the mission conference in WHCC tonight. Chuck will have a
presentation on seamen's mission at WHCC Sunday School this coming Sunday.
1 ship on Saturday:
SITEAM VOYAGER - All Russian. Receptive.
