Dear seafarer's friends, 08/14/11 - 08/20/11 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Php. 1:2) ships visited this week 7 ships on Monday (08/15): Vessel Name Nationalities Activities IKAN ALTAMIRA Filipino, Chinese, and Ghanaian We were on this ship last Jun. (See pic. 1 for part of the crew). Prayed and blessed the crew. OVERSEAS FRAN Filipino, and Russian Prayed and blessed the ship. CHAPTER GENTA Filipino, and Indian There were two Indian Christians on board, chief cook, and second mate. (See pic. 2 for some of the crew). NOMADIC HJELLESTAD Filipino, Russian, and Bulgarian Left Scriptures and Jesus DVDs. BAIZO Filipino, Croatian, and Romanian We visited this ship a year before last Apr. Left Scriptures and Jesus DVDs. PETROKREPOST All Russian Gave away Scripture, Jesus DVD and Gospel materials. BERTINA All Indian There were two Christians on the ship, general steward, and electrician. (See pic. 3 for part of the crew). Ying Dau Lu from Houston Chinese Church came helped the ministry today. 4 Ships on Wednesday (08/17): WADI HALFA All Egyptian Left Scripture and Jesus DVDs on board. ROYAL FAIRNESS All Filipino Prayed and blessed the crew. STAR FRASER All Filipino We were on this ship last Jun. Prayed and blessed the ship. FENG HUANG SONG All Chinese There were seven Christians on this ship, chief cook, general steward, two able seamen, one pump man, one oiler, and the third mate. (See pic. 4 for some of the crew). 8 Ships on Friday (08/19): LIBRA LEADER All Filipino Prayed and blessed their ship. HAL PENDANT Filipino, and Polish Prayed and blessed their crew. ALPINE VENTURE Filipino, Indian, Russian, and Georgian There were two Indian Christians on board, assistant engineer, and the third officer. (See pic. 4 for two of them, and pic. 5 for the chief cook on the left). Prayed and blessed their families. NORDIC OSLO All Russian Left Scripture and Jesus DVD on board. HARBOUR PROGRESS Russian, and Ukrainian Left Scripture and Jesus DVD on the ship. PAPILLON All Indian There were quite a few number Christians on board, namely captain, chief mate, chief cook, general steward, bosun, and fitter. (See pic. 6 for some of the crew). Watched Jesus DVD and prayed with them. TAIXING All Chinese We visited this ship last Apr. No permission to go on board. Nobody has shore pass on board. They only accepted some Christian News Paper. JIA XING All Chinese We were on this ship last Feb. An initial visit. Only two people have shore pass, chief mate and Payton Huang from West Houston Chinese Church and Someone from Fort Bend Community Church came and helped the ministry today. 2 Ships on Saturday (07/26): JIA XING All Chinese A revisit on the ship. Because the security issue, only Ying Dau and I went on board. (See pic. 7 for some of the crew). We left the Gospel materials, prayed and blessed the ship. FENG HUANG SONG All Chinese Praised the Lord, we were able to get in this terminal, and they let us to go on the ship this time. We brought in some home made cookies and two watermelon. The captain invited us to his cabin and we share the Gospel with him and the commissar. Both of them were very open and willing to receive the eternal life as a gift from God. (See pic. 8, captain is the first one from the right on the front row, commissar is the second one from the right on the next row). We sang the hymn ‘Flower in the wilderness’ to the seamen downstairs. They also wanted Jesus to be their friend and savior. (See pic. 9). Ying Dau Lu, Xiyun Deng, Jun Wu, Jerry Lee, Julia Hsieh from Houston Chinese Church came and helped the ministry today. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
