ships visited this week
5 ships on Monday:
BBC GREENLAND, and STELLENBOSCH - Russian, and Ukrainian; All
Myanmar. Receptive. One Christian, a cadet, found on the second ship. We
prayed with him and a Buddhist.
IKAN SELANGAT, IKAN VERACRUZ, and RICKMERS ANTWERP -
Chinese, Filipino, Myanmar, and Polish; Chinese, Filipino, and Indian; Filipino,
Romanian, and Chinese. We were on the first ship last Aug., the second ship and
the last ship last Jan. Steve Chao from WHCC came and helped the visitation.
I went to the first ship and Steve went to the second ship, since both ships were
in the same terminal and berthed right next to each other on two sides of a pier.
Both ships had about seventeen people came to the Lord and prayed separately.
From Tuesday to Thursday:
I attended the North American Maritime Ministry Association annual Conference
here in Houston this year. We had gathering at Norwegian Seamen's Church of
Houston. We had Panel Discussion on TWIC, Ecumenical worship at the Co-
Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. (see picture).And I met this Chinese seaman
friend at the Conference. Please pray for this able seaman. He lost one of his feet
on duty and he exhausted his insurance coverage. He chose to stay here to accept
his friends help rather than go home without hope. He is a Christian and his
Christian friends are helping him right now.
1 ship on Thursday:
GOLDEN CHARLOTTE - Filipino, Korean, and Myanmar. No Korean, and
no Myanmar Christian on board. They were receptive.
3 ships on Friday:
REGINE - All Filipino. Responsive.
CLIPPER AYA, and ELSBORG - Both ships were all Indian. We were on the first ship 21 months ago. Four Christians on the ship, two able seamen, one motor
man and a general steward. Four Christians on the second ship, general steward,
second officer, second engineer, and third engineer. Prayed with them and blessed
the ships. (see pictures)
Payton Huang from WHCC came and volunteered help for the ministry today.
5 ships on Saturday:
FORMOSA TEN - All Chinese. We were on this ship last Feb. The crew has
been changed a lot. I prayed with five of them including the captain. They took
everything I brought with me. (see picture, the one on the left is the chief engineer.)
YASA GOLDEN DARDANEL - All Turkish. Receptive. We are beginning to
see young female cadets working on the ships now. A week ago a polish ship had
two young female cadets on board.
SABINE, GENMAR DAPHNE, and BLACK SEA - All Indian; Indian, Filipino,
Portuguese, and Ukrainian; Indian, Filipino, Russian, and Turkish. We were on the
first ship two months ago. Two Christians on board, a motor man and general
steward, Prayed with the Hindus and Muslims. Two Christians on the third ship, a
pump man and general steward. They all responsive.
