Dear seafarer's friends, 06/12/11 - 06/18/11

ships visited this week
5 ships on Monday:
STAR FRASER, NORWID, SANKO MERMAID, OCEAN FLOWER, and
SICHEM DEFIANCE - All Filipino; Filipino, and Polish; Filipino, and
Chinese; Korean, and Indonesian; All Indian. We visited the
first ship last Apr., the second and the third ships last Nov.,
the fourth ship last Jul., and the last ship a year before last
Nov. (See pic. 1 for some of the crew on the third ship). (See
pic. 2 for the two Chinese crew on the same ship). (See pic. 3
for part of the crew on the last ship). There were three
Christians on board, chief cook, general steward, and the third
engineer. Prayed with them and blessed the ships.
Ying Dau Lu from Houston Chinese Church came and helped the
ministry today.
7 ships on Tuesday:
OVERSEAS LIMAR, OVERSEAS AMBERMAR, ATLANTIC PISCES,
and NAVIGATOR SATURN - All Filipino; All Filipino; Filipino, and
Indian; Filipino, Polish, and Russian - We were on the second
ship last Jul. There were two Indian Christians on the third ship,
bosun, and the third engineer. Prayed with them and blessed
the ship.
SKODSBORG, CRYSTAL OCEAN, and VANESSA C - All Thai;
Korean, and Indonesian; Romanian, Russian, Indian, and South
African. We were on the first ship last Jan., the second ship
last Jul., the last ship a year before last Mar. Prayed with
them and blessed the ships.
Steven Chao from West Houston Chinese Church came and
helped the Lifeline to Seamen ministry today.
4 ships on Thursday:
VINALINES GALAXY, WESTGATE, GAO QIANG, and FULL
WEALTH - Vietnamese, Romanian, Indian, and Myanmar;
Russian, Croatian, Bulgarian, Turkish, and Pakistanis; All
Chinese; All Chinese. (See pic. 4 for the Indian on the
second ship). (See pic. 5 for the Romanian captain on the
far right on the same ship). (See pic. 6 for the captain on
the right on the third ship). We were trying to evangelize
him but he finally admitted that he was a communist. We
just have to keep on praying for him. (See pic. 7 for part of
the crew). An initial visit on the last ship.
Someone from Fort Bend Community Church, and Jason
Skinner from WHCC came and helped the ministry today.
6 ships on Saturday:
MARINA ACE, BONITA, YELLOWSTONE, IKAN ALTAMIRA, FULL
WEALTH and SAT BELLATRIX - All Filipino; All Filipino;
Myanmar, and Polish; Filipino, Ghanaian, and Chinese; All
Chinese; All Chinese. We were on the first ship last Jan., the
third ship last Oct., the fourth ship ten days ago, the fifth
ship two days ago. (See pic. 8 for the captain, second from
the left, also pic. 9 the first one from the left, the third one
from the left on pic. 10). He recognized me right away when
we saw each other and called my full name. I remembered
his last name. He said to me that I baptized him on July the
ninth, 2004. He also met Port Chaplain Ian Dennis in
Melbourne, Australia. That was after the Manila Convention
by SCFS. Ian told me about the occasion all right. What a
small world. Prayed with them, and took the fourth engineer
to Best Buy.
Ying Dau Lu, Shi Yeu Deng and his two children (See pic. 11,
the two on the right) from Houston Chinese Church came
and helped the ministry today.
