Dear seafarer's friends, 10/07/07 - 10/13/07

ships visited this week
5 ships on Monday:
BERGE SUMMIT - Indian. 7 Christians. The officials in the custom were on board. So
everyone was busy. 1 salvation. Gave away some Scriptures.
STOLT JADE, AIGRAN D. and SANKO SUPREME - Norwegian, Croatian, Romanian,
Italian, and mainly Filipino. Good visits on all the ships. Prayed and encouraged them.
They were very very appreciative of the visit.
GOLD RIVER - Chinese, and Russian. 7 people came to pray the salvation prayer, and
we gave thanks to the Lord at the meal. Took the 2nd officer and the bosun to
shopping. They received Jesus into their hearts too.
2 ships on Tuesday:
HEBEI COURAGE - Chinese. They were cleaning the holes, so most of the people
were busy, but still, the whole box of Scriptual materials were gone. 9 seamen
accepted Jesus is in their hearts. One of them was the electrician. He read many
parts of the Bible before. He has a lap top in his room and using 2 big Chinese
characters "感恩”which means "Thanksgiving" for his screen saver. After we prayed,
he took Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
CIELO DI MONFALCONE - Italian, Ukrainian, and mainly Indian. 6 Indian Christians.
Victor was the 2nd cook. He is a Christian and a pianist. He leads the choir and plays
the piano whenever he is home, but God called him to be a seafarer. He has been with
the sea for 10 years. Pray that he can lead other Christians to worship Him on board
too. 1 salvation.
14 ships on Wednesday:
XANADU, BELUGA FICTION, AFRICAN FERN, MARATHON, TAMBOURIN, RENA,
SEA HOPE, TENNA KOSAN, and JO SPRUCE - Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, German,
Bulgarian, Polish, Swedish, Dutch, and mainly Filipino. They all got the Scriptural
materials except the Swedish and the Dutch. Blessed all the ships.
BBC FRANCE, ONEGO BREEZE, TRISTEIN, AMBERJACK, FIONA - German,
Ukrainian, and Russian. Good response from all these vessels.
5 ships on Thursday:
OVERSEAS PORTLAND, and PAC DUBHE - Filipino, Myanmar, Singaporian,
Chinese, and Hollander. 1 Singapor Christian. 6 Chinese salvations.
NORD OPTIMISER - Indian. 1 Christian (the chief cook) and 1 salvation..
GAO QIANG, and CHIPOLBROK SUN - Chinese. We were on the 1st ship last May
28, and the 2nd ship last June 4. There was 1 Christian on the 2nd ship, the chief
cook. Both ships had 8 salvations.
Nancy and Thomas are going to a short term mission at El Paso, Tx. this weekend, will be back Monday.
Pastor Malone was resting at his son Mark's house this week. He is getting better gradually.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen. (Gal. 6:18)
