Christmas Blessing
Pray for the seafarers this Christmas season. Many years of experience has taught us that they are most receptive this time of the year. There are unique ways to share with them the joyful gifts of Jesus in the Spirit's power. May we use the opportunities God gives us to impact the message of salvation through faith in our loving Savior. Thomas and Tom want to bless our readers and supporters this Christmas season and in the new year. We're grateful for all your love and involvement. God is blessing us with a greater harvest of souls than ever in 2009.ships visited this week 10 ships on Monday: CHEMTRANS OSTE, JO KIRI, and SAFMARINE ANGOLA - Filipino, and Russian; Filipino, and Russian; Filipino, and Dutch. Just an initial visit on the first ship. We thought the second ship was a VietNamese ship but it turned out to be all Chinese. Most of them were open to the Gospel. A revisit on the third ship. I delivered to them two new Chinese Christian calendars as I promised them last week. One for the captain and one for the chief cook to hang on in the mess room. The fourth ship had more than half the crew Chinese. We got there before they were ready to sail,.They received the Jesus DVDs. Steven Chao from WHCC came and helped visiting the ships. A lot of Chinese ships today. 4 ships on Tuesday: CHRYSOULA S, and CRUX J - Filipino, Greek, and Romanian; Filipino, Russian, Ukrainian, and Indian. Nice people, very receptive. CHEMICAL SUPPLIER - All Indian. We visited this ship last May. Four Christians on board. He is not a stranger, but someone who doesn't want us to mention his name came from FBCC and helped the ministry today. 1 ship on Wednesday: ATLANTIC STAR - All Chinese. I took three, the captain, the chief engineer, and a cadet to Toyota center to watch a Rocket's basketball game. They wanted to see Yao Ming. They saw him and they were glad that Rocket won the game. All very receptive. STAVANGER BLOSSOM, and ATLANTIC STAR - Norwegian, Romanian, Filipino, Indian, and two Chinese; All Chinese. I had a good conversation with the two Chinese cadets on the first ship. Their hearts were so soft that God's Words were very easy to plant in there. They received Jesus Christ as a gift from God. They complained about that the other seamen oppressed them. I only told them to hold on to each other and pray together everyday. Please pray for them. This was the third time in a roll I went back to visit ATLANTIC STAR. Seven of them came with me to China Town shopping after they watched The Passion of the Christ. We didn't finish watching the movie. but the seed was planted.4 ships on Friday: FEDERAL PATRIOT, and HANJIN ANTWERP - All Filipino; Filipino, and Korean. Responsive. We asked them to invite Jesus into their hearts. There was one Christian on the ship. You can tell the difference. He belongs to the house church in China. He was the only one who got saved in his family. He said that the reason why he believed was because Jesus changed his life, and God's Word motivated him to become a Christian.to get baptized. We just praised the Lord. And please pray for his parents' hearts to come to the Lord. Payton Huang from WHCC came and helped the ministry today. Glory to the Lord.
